We watched a great documentary yesterday on Hulu called Happiness Is , which I highly recommend you check out.  It is free to watch.  The movie is about the elusiveness of happiness.  Many of us understand the pursuit of happiness but few of us truly know what it means to be happy.  One thing this documentary touched on as a huge contributor is our sense of community and how being a part of something larger than the four walls of our own homes gives us a sense of purpose and place in the world.  After all we are all on the pursuit of happiness and if we can help others on their pursuit more than likely we will find our own.

Just yesterday 2 co-workers were afflicted with very serious sets of circumstances, 1 was preparing for major back surgery and the other suffered a massive stroke in the middle of the night and is still in ICU as I write this.  We don’t have a lot of money but we do have other resources to reach out to them and their families.  We found 2 books on our shelves that we are going to pass along, one is My Stroke of Insight which we are going to give to my co-workers wife.  The biggest mistake is not giving because we think we don’t have anything to give.  In another group I am apart of we say that you will watch a fellowship grow up amongst you, it will become the bright spot of our lives.
